Greenwood Elementary Celebrates Black History Month

Greenwood Elementary School celebrated Black History Month with a week of themed attire and a program featuring historical and contemporary figures. Students wore red and yellow earlier in the week, representing shared identity, history, resilience and heritage, school officials said. They then wore green and black, and later dressed in attire representing Black culture and history. The school also held a program celebrating Black history and excellence, featuring students portraying scholars, athletes and artists. Special guests from both the past and present were highlighted. School officials thanked the students and teachers who contributed to the program.
